German luxury house MCM ‘steps up’ its footwear game for Spring/Summer 2023, introducing a re-edition of its iconic collaboration with global footwear brand, Crocs. Referencing MCM’s upcoming collection palette featuring brights such as white & lime green as well as earth tones featuring khaki and black, the limited edition launch is designed with the signature mini-belt bag over both Classic Clog styles.

Inspired by MCM’s archival Belt Bag silhouette, the mini-belt bag is crafted in MCM’s black & white Visetos and features a 3-in-1 modular design which is interchangeable by shoe, and can be detached and worn as a fashion accessory.

It’s not the first time Crocs has partnered with a luxury brand; the footwear brand has also collaborated with Balenciaga, Beams, Disney, Marvel and Peanuts.

3 new bars in Singapore to put on your list

It’s an exciting time for cocktail lovers in Singapore, with multiple new bars opening with incredible concepts and yummy concoctions for a definite good night out. Here are three we went to recently.

1. Jungle Ballroom

Located in the newly opened Mondrian Hotel in Duxton area, Jungle Ballroom features a themed menu with Southeast Asian ingredients such as longan, banana leaf, young mango, turmeric, black sesame, ginger and more. The menu takes you on a journey through the forest based on where you can find those ingredients, from the Jungle Canopy (where you might enjoy a ‘View From the Treetops’), to the Understorey (here, you may discover a ‘Rose-hued Waterfall’), to the Forest Floor (where you may stumble on ‘The Lost Ruins’).

2. Mixology Salon

Cocktails made with Japanese precision and creativity, Mixology Salon is a long-term pop-up concept in Intercontinental Robertson Quay. They specialised in tea cocktails, which are some of the hardest ingredients to get right; too short/long a brewing time, too hot/cold the water, too harsh the mix, and you may lose the multi-faceted flavours of the tea leaves. And got it right they did, producing cocktails after cocktails with balanced flavours and easy drinkability. It’s not a place meant for a party night out, but thrives as a quiet, sipping, contemplative cosy corner with close friends.

Located in Pan Pacific Singapore, expect IG-friendly cocktails inspired by the plumage of birds in Southeast Asia. PLUME’s cocktails might look pretty, but they’re also potent and yummy ones. Definitely don’t miss the bar snacks, while small in portions, packed a satisfying punch in terms of taste.
